过过瘾 - meaning
我从生病以后就没喝过酒,今天想喝一小杯,过过瘾。
In this sentence, what does 过过瘾 mean?
过瘾 = to satisfy a craving. Why is there another 过 before it?
Is it some kind of duplication that expresses casualness and shortness of action?
Or does first 过 mean to celebrate / to spend time --> celebrate/spend time indulging oneself...
Any help is much appreciated :)
过过瘾 = 过瘾
If a verb is duplicated, the speaker is trying to make a relaxed tone. Such as 看看电视(看 is duplicated), 说说话,聊聊家常,想想未来, etc.

Most verbs that means a motion in Chinese can be used as this duplication way to express a meaning that the motion is short, or just a try, or slightly. So I think the first 过 is just for casualness. Other examples like 唱唱歌,喝喝酒,看看书……
