What does "歌ってみた" mean?
I see it on every cover and many music videos in japanese.
I've tried to search for translations, but I can't find any who explains it that well...
I know 歌う and assume 歌って is just the -te form, but the "みた" part is confusing. I never see it written "見た" which would mean "seen me sing" or watched me sing or something. (Which still doesn't make sense ;;o_o)
