Why is -요 used?
So I was looking at an entertainment article, and one of the quotes was:
"소개팅요? 시켜주지 마세요..."
I was confused on why it was just 요 at the end rather than 이다 (이에요/예요). So I asked my friend why that was and she told me this:
딸기요 or 딸기 = strawberry
딸기야 or 딸기에요 = this is a strawberry
So I think she means just to say that the person was just saying '소개팅' and they added 요 at the end. So why did they add 요 at the end? For politeness?

As you know, 요 is added for politeness.
요 can be added after a noun or an adverb as well as a verb or an adjective.
There are some cases when a noun or an adverb is a sentence.
ex)
소개팅 시켜줄까?
소개팅? Short form of 소개팅이라고 했어?
소개팅요? Short form of 소개팅이라고 했어요?
무엇을 먹고 싶어?
딸기. Short form of 딸기를 먹고 싶어.
딸기요. Short form of 딸기를 먹고 싶어요.
