What "Maybe you saw discomfort" means?

This phrase is not good English. I'm not sure what it means. You can't "see" discomfort, you can only feel it. Perhaps what they are trying to say is "Maybe what you saw caused you discomfort."
Sorry, I can't do better unless I saw it in context.
