bring round/around Are these verbs used outside the UK when you are talking about convincing someone or restoring someone to consciousness? Sam was sure he could bring them round to the deal. We threw water in his face to try and bring him round.

In America we would say 'around' instead of 'round' in your examples.

Yes -- if you are talking about US -- but it has become less common, evidently:
