충성: to serve the country loyally 단결: stand together 필승: victory at all costs 충성 is currently the only official one. However, the others are more or less tolerated in respect of the tradition of the honored front line batallions since the Korean war. Even the army HQ can't afford to enforce the official salutation motto to the front line batallions that simply. Their commanding generals are mostly senior to the chief of staff at the HQ. Summing it up: it depends on the batallion. It's mostly "충성". Batallions with different special mottos are those few named ones with a history they are extremely proud of. edit ====================== The HQ doesn't insist on 충성 anymore. They gave up.
