Great question....
For those of us with "longer noses" the idea of straight nose means it is not bent (say after an accident) rather than it is not flat. But the English is good, it just means something different than I understand you to be saying. If you are female with a small nose in the european physical norm then you would be described as having a "cute" nose if it were small. :-)
