There are some words in Chinese that Chinese people regularly pronounce "wrongly“, but the fact that this "wrong" pronunciation is now so common makes it not really wrong any longer. 一會兒 is one of those. You can say both, although the official pronunciation is yí huìr. Others include 照片 zhao4pian4 is the correct pronunciation, but loads of people say zhao4pian1, 因為 loads of yin1wei4 cs yin1wei2, 氰化鉀 the correct pronunciation is qing2, but many people say qing1 etc.

Personally, I say "yì huǐr" in my daily life. But as a Chinese teacher, I know it is "yí huìr" in the dictionary. Anyway, I don't want to say in the "correct" way since all of the people around me are using "yì huǐr". Also I think reporters on the TV say "yì huǐr".

The standard pronunciation has three sounds. The Beijing dialect shortens it to two. Hence, depending on where you are, both are correct. I am sure you can find examples in South Korean and North Korean.
