Difference between 좋아하다 and 좋다 안녕하세요. 1. 좋아하다 삭와를 좋아해요. (I) like apple(s). 저는 스키를 아주 좋아해요. I like very much (to) ski. 2. 좋다 음색 냄새가 좋아요. The smell of the food is likeable. So, if my guess is correct, 좋아하다 is a 동사 and 좋다 is a 형용사. This reminds of how the Japanese say あなた(の事)が好き -> you are likeable/the thing about you is likeable. The important thing here is that is expressed indirectly as an adjective not as an active verb "I love you" -> あなたを愛します. The same goes for 嫌い and 憎む. The first one is an adjective meaning "hateable" and the second being a verb "to hate". So, often instead of saying "I hate you" -> お前を憎む it becomes more indirect a description "you are hateable" -> お前のことが嫌い. 강삽니다

One is a 타동사 and the other is 자동사. 좋아하다 is a 타동사 which means it can act on objects. 좋다 is a 자동사 which means it can't be used with objects. I like this flower: 이 꽃을 좋아해. (ㅇ) 이 꽃을 좋아. (X) ~~> 이 꽃이 좋아 . (ㅇ) [And yes 좋다 is a descriptive verb and 좋아하다 is an action verb but I think remembering it as 타동사 and 자동사 is way easier for me. So juat wanted to add another way of thinking!]
