What's the difference between 위 and 외?
I was just wondering what the difference in pronunciation was for 위 and 외. And also how does putting ㅗ or ㅜ in front of a vowel change the pronunciation ?

위 sounds like "wee" while 외 sounds like "oo-eh"
I don't know the answer to your second question, though, sorry.

For the second part, study compound vowels. It literally just combines the two vowel sounds together into a dipthong.
