That's a great question! They're very closely linked. Neurology is the name of the study of the nerves and nervous system, usually used in connection with medicine and is the name of the medical practice. A neurologist is a physician, that is, a doctor. He or she studies neurology in order to practice this specialty of medicine. Neuroscience is the name of the field of study of a scientist concerning the structure, function, development, and pathology of the nervous system. A neuroscientist likely works in a laboratory or in an academic capacity. They DO the research that neurology students read about in order to understand their subject and become doctors. I hope this answer helps you understand the nuanced difference!
