Heyy, I suggest you start off reading stories that you already know how they go, could be something as simple as kids classics or books you're very familiar with. That way, you will be practicing your Spanish but will be easier to follow through because you'd already know how the story goes.

Aquí puedes encontrar varias leyendas de terror: http://leyendadeterror.com/ Uno de los clásicos de la literatura española, que seguramente escucharás o habrás escuchado, es "Don Quijote de la Mancha" de Miguel de Cervantes, pero es un poco difícil de leer y entender inclusive para los que hablamos español. Una de las novelas más aclamadas de los tiempos recientes es "Cien años de soledad" de Gabriel García Márquez. En cuanto a autores extranjeros, recomendaría leer traducciones de autores como Julio Verne, Mark Twain o alguno de los que ya hayas escuchado o leído. I would recommend you read what you usually read. Look for something of your interest, but in spanish. Go to wikipedia in spanish, use google chrome, install the extension "instant translate" and configure translation at double click. You will able to navigate and read, and when a unknown word appears, you'll make a double click and get the translation in a little tab, without having to go to another page for doing to that. It's a pretty convenient extension. Greetings
