Hello,
I am trying to translate the following expression in french :living paycheck to paycheck.Although I understand the meaning of it,I cannot find the exact translation.It is I suppose some kind of idiomatic expression.

Comme le suggère Michael on va dire simplement
- vivre de paie en paie
- vivre d'une paie à l'autre
La référence au chèque n'est pas nécessaire.
Dans le temps quand les salaires étaient encore hebdomadaires, il y avait l'expression :
- vivre à la petite semaine
mais je ne pense pas qu'il y ait un équivalent mensuel à cette expression, ou alors je ne le connais pas.
