When something is gone we can appreciate how important it is because we miss it and want it back! Water is important, we drink it without thinking about it, when it is gone (the well "runs dry"/ becomes empty) we think about it more! ^_^

"Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone? They paved paradise and put up a parking lot"----from BIG YELLOW TAXI by Joni Mitchell
Every day you get water from the well without thinking about it, taking it for granted. Then one day the well is DRY, no water.
Dang I miss getting that water.
