Is the word "serviette" used to mean "towel"?

In french we have "serviette" for sanitary napkin, serviette for beach towel, serviette for table napkin, serviette for towel we can use : "serviette hygiénique, serviette de bain, serviette de table, serviette de toilette" a lot of "serviette" :)))

Not in all countries. Here in the US it's a napkin. I believe that 'serviette' is mainly British.
