Is there a big difference between "zuerst" and "erste"? Could you give me some examples as well? Thanks!

zuerst - at first
Zuerst trinke ich meinen Kaffee und dann fange ich an zu arbeiten.
Ich habe es zuerst gewusst./Ich habe es als Erster gewusst.
Du musst den ersten Schritt machen.

erste = first
der erste Satz - the first sentence
die erste Stadt - the first city
das erste Kind - the first kid
