Does it mean like see you later but today or tomorrow?
How would I say, "thank you for today's class, see you later".

一会儿is not that long. See you tomorrow I will say明天见。
一会见means see you in several minutes or hour

-“一会儿见” means you will see the person later, not tomorrow but today. It can be a few minutes or hours.
- If you see the person tomorrow, then you say "明天见“
- "thank you for today's class, see you later" in Chinese is " 谢谢你今天的课,一会儿见”.
