der Fahrplan We learned in class that "Fahrplan" means "schedule"; however I recognize "fahr-", which, if I tecall correctly, has something to do with driving. Is "Fahrplan" a word that is specific to driving or just a general term for ant kind of schedule?

It's specific to buses, trains etc., just like you can have a "Flugplan" for planes, a "Wartungsplan" for maintenance and so on.
