"éphémère" ?
Hello, I was talking to a French friend and we were talking about 2 paintings. She wrote "ensuite la présentation : par deux ? trois ? grand format ? in situ ? (in situ en français = une œuvre d'art qui ocupe l'espace) si c'est éphémère ou non ?"
My questions are:
What does she mean by "par deux ? Trois ?"
What does the sentence "si c'est éphémère ou non ?" mean?
You can explain in both French and English, thanks in advance.

The word "éphémère" means "Which does not last". For example, the ice sculptures are "éphémères".
About "par deux ? trois ? grand format ? in situ ?" I am not an expert in art, but that seems to be different artistic formats.

The word ''éphémère'' means ''short-lived, ephemeral''. It is of Greek origin. The same word in Greek is ''εφήμερος'' [efimeros]. The etymology is: επί [epi] ''upon'' + ημέρα [imera] ''day''
