Is this sentence grammatically correct? The proposal was repealed after thirty minutes' discussion and a number of objections to its failure to include our suggestions. Thirty minutes' discussion or a thirty minute discussion? I'm not sure which one is correct.

I believe "thirty minutes of discussion" would work, too.
