Can you also say "da gibt's", among the many ways to say "there is" or "there are"? I also have a seperate question: I heard in a song called "Wer Ist Der Typ?", the singer says "Ich weiß, wie viel fünf mal sieben sind" Why doesn't he say "ist" instead of "sind"? In English I'd say "ist".

Yes, "da gibt's" does work. But it doesn't just mean "there is", but "in that place, there is", as "da" refers to a place which has been mentioned before. And when doing calculations, both "fünf mal sieben ist" and "fünf mal sieben ist" are ok.
