could I say"the book leave a big suspense at the end of the story"? I mean the book didn't finish the story. or could I say the book leave some loose ends?

Hi, In your example it should be "the book leaveS", but I think a better way to say it would be "the book leaves the reader in a state of suspense at the end of the story" or even more simply "the book ends on a cliffhanger". Hope that helps :)
