What does it mean, please? What does ”leave hungry" mean, please?Hans celebrated his 65th birthday on Saturday. The two of us went to a restaurant near here on a cliff overlooking the sea. It has a Michelin star and was excellent. I usually don't like this type of restaurant because we leave hungry and with a big hole in the wallet, but we really enjoyed this one.

Hi. To 'leave hungry' means that the people are not satisfied by the food, and that they still feel hungry even after eating. They eat, but the portions of food aren't large enough to make them feel satisfied and full. Unfortunately, they spend a lot of money on the food.

Hi Jennifer, "Leave hungry" means what it says: this type of restaurant doesn't provide enough food for you to feel like you've eaten, so when you leave after the meal, you still feel hungry. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I didn't answer your question.

Hi! Could provide the context, please?)

In order not to leave hungry a person must sit at the restaurant a little longer. Sometimes food doesn't make someone full at once. Waiting is a kind of the remedy in that case.
