How to set English as your native language and learning language?
Let me explain. I was born in Kazakhstan and moved to United States when I was five going on six. Because of it I don't speak English well or Kazakh because I forgot most knowledge of Kazakh.
My profile says I am native in Kazakh but that is not true. But I can't put English because I am learning English.
I want to use italki to learn English so people in my country can understand myself better.
Anyone know how to set English as my best language and language I am learning?
Thank you for your time. :)

I would say the language you speak best - communicate with family, friends, teachers, etc. is your native, but of course I realise this is tricky in your case. If you don't speak English at a native level, and it sounds like you don't, because you're learning, I reckon you should just keep Kazakh and explain on your profile or if someone tries to speak to you in Kazakh.

What if you add a third language and set it to "other"? Then you could set both English and Kazakh as non-native languages and "other" as your native language.
