What does "cheers" mean if someone answers your question?
Hello! I have a friend on italki who answered my question via message.
At the end of the message he wrote, "Cheers", could you explain what does it mean to me?
I can't understand this word very well

In that context, cheers means good day or just a way to say thanks, bye.

"Cheers" is just an informal way of signing off at the end of a message. It can also mean 'thanks' but mainly in British English I think.
