What does the sentence"I suppose not." mean?
Does it means "I don't think so." ?

''I suppose not'' and "I don't think so." are very similar, but I think there is a slight difference:
''I suppose not'' is less sure, and it shows somehow that the person doesn't want to answer.
exemple:
-do you really think that he wanted to hurt you ?
-I suppose not...
-do you think that he will do it ?
-I don't think so, he's not that kind of person.
