You can use -지 않다/않아요 (adjective-based) or -지 않는다/않아요 (verb-based) to negate a sentence.
- I am tired => 나는 피곤하다 (plain) / 저는 피곤 해요 (polite).
- I am not tired => 나는 피곤하지 않다 / 저는 피곤하지 않아요.
- I read a book => 나는 책을 읽는다 / 저는 책을 읽어요.
- I do not read a book => 나는 책을 읽지 않는다 / 저는 책을 읽지 않아요.
