It's a great place to live apart from the increasing volume of _______ that passes under my window every day.
transport
traffic
vehicles
circulation
OK. I agree about traffic. Now my question is if "transport" is an error here or not?

"transport" refers to the activity of moving something from A to B. It does not refer to the things (vehicles) which are used for that activity. It is an abstract concept. You cannot see "transport".
"traffic" refers to vehicles being used on a given public highway at a given time. You can see vehicles and so you can see traffic.

Traffic sounds natural to me. The other ones, not so much.
