брать vs есть
what is difference between two words "брать and есть"?
for example "в столовой я беру хлеб,бутерброд"
In this sentence, I don't know why use a word "брать"

In this example брать=покупать
We can also say "Возьми мне воду/мороженое/картошку в магазине", when we are asking to buy something.
You can assume, that if you take/buy something in a cafeteria, you eat it there too. But not always. For example, "я взяла пирожок в кафе/столовой и съела его по дороге на работу"
