Yes, you can use subjuntive in that sentence, and that is because it is very used in subordinate clauses. I would say you will need it in most of them. Se necesita el subjuntivo después de "hay riesgo de que". Por ejemplo: Hay riesgo de que pierdas lo ganado. Es más, hay un gran riesgo de que lo pierdas.
