what is difference between flowers and posies? flowers, roses, and posies. are the same?

"flowers" indicates a broad description of items of which there are many types a rose is a type of flower a posie is a type of flower a rose is not a posie, and a posie is not a rose, but they are both flowers this is the same with the terms "dogs" or "cats", there are many types of dogs and cats
