2 phrases are very often used. ども すみません→どうも すみません( doumo sumimasen) is polite expression to apologize to the person.どうも、申し訳ありません( doumo moushiwakearimasen) is more polite expression. ごめん あさい→ごめんなさい(gomen nasai) is light expression to apologize to the person like friend or family.(sounds like ``sorry``). You should use this phrases depend on the situation and persons.
