In the UK "Revise" means to look over something again, to study, etc.
In the US we use the word "Review" for this process of looking over something again and the word "Revise" in the US means to make edits/corrections to something.
For example in UK : "Students need to revise the material before the exam"
US::"Students need to review the material before the exam."
In the US: "The writer revised the earlier draft of his paper."

To review is to look over or reread to better understand something. To Revise is to adjust something, to make changes to it.
