Is my book correct?
My book says:
The table is fixed. "is fixed" means it is a fixed table. (talking about the present situation of the table)
My question is : Why can't I say he is killed to described the present situation of the person?
How can I tell: The table is fixed. "fixed" is an adjective. He was killed. "killed" is a past action, not an adjective.
I hope you won't get confused by my question.
Thanks

Kill means to make someone dead. Dead means they have already died or been killed
In the present he is not killed - this has already happened. In the present he is dead.
I hope I understood your question correctly and that you understand my answer
