1. Own is less formal and more common than possess.. we use the noun form "possession" a lot more.
2. Fast is less formal and more common than rapid, and rush is a verb used to mean "hurry." We use the adverb form of rapid (rapidly) more often than the adjective.
3. Shine is a verb and bright is an adjective used to describe things that shine.
