How do you address each other in Persian: when do you use ‘to’ and when ‘shomâ’?

Mamnoon, fahmidam. Do friends also distinguish between "to" and "shoma" if there is age difference? How do wife and husband call each other? Which word do they choose?

we have 2 demonstrative:
to(تو )which we use it for one person, U in english.
u(شما)which we use it for one person if we want respect him for example: a son say u(shomaشما)to his father and he can say (toتو) to his friend.also we use u for 2 people.

we say "to" when we want to refer/address someone who is speaking or writing to. "shoma" is the plural form of "to". but if you want to show ur respect for someone you should use "shoma" instead of "to". for example: to gofti -> shoma goftid, to khordi -> shoma khordid. ...
