"Por todos lados" y "Por todas partes", are they the same or have nuance?

They are the same. However, I would say that you can hear "por todos lados" more often from the Latin American folks, while Spanish people would rather say "por todas partes".
I prefer to say "Por todos lados", but it is up to you what are you going to use.
