Hi, The dialects or accents I know about Mexico are: People living in Mexico City: EL CHILANGO The people of Nuevo León, Monterrey. State located in the north of the country. From my experience, yes. I'm from the North and I can tell if someone is not from the North. People from the Centre/South say we sound "golpeado" meaning we kind of sound angry while we're talking (even though we are not). In the Centre, we call it "acento chilango", and it is totally different from the one we use here in the north of the country. We also tend to make fun of each other when it comes to accents (jokingly).
