O que é a diferença? Um APP me faz uma pergunta que traduz essa frase para inglês. A frase é "Não importa quando você vem. ". Minha resposta é"Do not import when you come". Mas a resposta certa é " It does not matter when you come.". O que é a diferença?Obrigado pelas suas respostas. E me desculpe que meu português seja ruim. Mas se sera só"Não importa",como voces acham o que significa? Ou,como voces dizem"Do not import"? Thanks for your answers. And I'm sorry that my bad Portugues. But if it is only"Não imorta",how do you guess what does it mean? Or how do you say "Do not import"in Portuges?

Hi, Nike! Importar can be translated as "to import" and "to matter". To import has the meaning of bringing something from another place and it is usually an economic ideia. Think about ordering something from another country on eBay. That is "importar" in the "to import" sense. When you want to say that something makes no difference, then "importar" means "to matter". For example, you could translate the sentence "não importa o que você pensa" as "it doesn't matter what you think". In the sentence"não importa quando você vem", you should translate as "it doesn't matter", but a better translation would be "you can come whenever you want".

olá! matter significa importar/se preocupar, porém "to import" significa importação no sentido de trazer algo do exterior (ex: importar soja)

"Importar" Means both "to import" and "to matter" about something. When we say "não importa" It's "Matter" meaning.
