Question - Is this sentence correct: 'The sun gives the light to the / a sprout'-?

Either way the sentence is correct. The sun gives light to a sprout. The sun gives light to the sprout. The difference between the two sentences is that the first sentence is talking about a single sprout but not an specific, single sprout. The second sentence would be talking about a specific, single sprout.

Exactly both are correct but a sprout refers to general sprouts and the sprout refers to a specific sprout, there is only one .
