Do I have to abide by poetry rules if I want to write a poem?
I find figuring out what rhythem I am writing in difficult and irritating.

Hello Safa'a,
There are many different styles of poetry so it is possible to use one of many particular styles (or even make up your own!) I would say that when you have written your poem, read it and see if it sounds good to you. If it does, then someone will like it!
Best wishes
