Are they interchangeable ?

As the title says , i'm having a hard time figuring out the nuance between 'sona ni' and 'soko made'.
From what i understand , they both have the meaning of 'so much'.
Is this correct ?

They are interchangeable, but to me, そこまで is stronger than そんなに. I would translate "そんなに" into English as "so much" or "like that", and "そこまで" would be "go that far".

I think your understanding is correct. In many cases they are interchangeable. But they are not completely the same.
And both そんなに and そこまで usually follow negative meaning.
