the context:
I remember a story about her. She was left dejected and poor with six children and no husband. Once she came home for dinner and had nothing but three sweibach in the house. She cut them into twelve pieces, two for each child.

It's a Danish word that has no English word, so we just call it sweibach I guess. Google says its a type of bread.
