Can you think of a succinct way to explain the difference between "true" and "correct"?
I notice it's a common mistake for Persian native speakers to confuse the two, for example:
"Is my sentence true?"
The common explanation is that "correct" is based on accuracy and facts, but there are many statements where you can use "true" in that sense:
"Is it true that you saw John kissing Karen?"
How would you explain the difference between the two terms in a few sentences?
