Is "to" needed? Help me (to) do smth.
Can you help me (to) wash the dishes?
Do you want me to help you (to) put on your shoes? (said to a toddler, for example)
Do you want to help me (to) wash the dishes?
I want to help you (to) clean your teeth.
May I help you (to) put on your T-shirt? (said to a toddler)
Thank you very much for your help!

You can have the 'to' ... or leave it out.
Both forms are acceptable.

Можна і так і так, я б сказав "help me find my book" - коли треба щось зробити безпосередньо зараз, але б сказав би "Could you help me to become a better person" - тому що тут більш довгострокова мета. Але звісно, я можу помилятися
