How to say this in Korean?
Sentence :
ou are the reason behind my smiles / You are the reason I smile. (Present Tense)
You were the reason behind my smiles. (Past Tense)
Language Level : Informal
Also, if I were to add the date, eg. "In this past year, you were the reason behind my smiles", where should i place the date in the sentence?

It is hard to translate those sentences exactly like the English ones, but here are my tries.
- You are the reason behind my smiles = 내가 웃는 이유는 바로 너야 / 나의 웃음 뒤에는 (항상) 네가 있어.
- You are the reason I smile = 나는 너 때문에 웃게 돼 / 너는 내 웃음의 근원이야 (근원 = source).
- In this past year, you were the reason behind my smiles = 지난 한 해 동안, 너는 내 웃음의 근원이었어 / 나는 너 때문에 웃을 수 있었어.
