I don’t quite understand the sentence without more context. If you said, “I’m resting my head at home now” it would mean that you are simply resting at home.

No, that's not grammatical. "I'm at home resting my head now" is okay, however, it sounds a bit odd to be resting your head. Like, what's wrong with your head? It almost implies you hit your head on something.
