i'm wondering how to say "人缘"in english?
so if i want to say 他人缘很好,it can be "he is very popular"right?

人缘 if u mean ren2yuan2 you say 'popularity' in English.

To your second question:
In Chinese 人缘好 could be translated into popular,at least I think so.But in my view,when it comes to the Chinese context this word is somehow related to a social ralationship which one uses his best endeavour to construct among people around him.Not like that in English,"popularity" is more "pure" or more something your gain without too much "effort",which may seem incomprehensible to most foreigners.
So it's too hard to find an exact phrase in English to 他人缘很好.
There could be other opinions.
