Is this conversation coherent?
Dear English native speakers
Do you find the following conversation "coherent" ? Especially lines 3-4- and mainly 5
_ How do you like the food?
_ It tastes really great. Did you cook it?
_ Yes. I made it this afternoon. Would you like some more?
_ OK, just a little though. I’m really full.
_ Oh. Would you like some soup instead?
_ What kind is it?
_ Tomato and rice
It seems what the speaker says in line 5 does not go with the preceding line (i.e. line 4). in fact it seems he is answering someone else!!!
Thanks in advance

The conversation is coherent and the grammar is correct, but you are right that there is something odd about sentence 5 as a response to sentence 4. The only way it makes sense to me: perhaps what the guest has been eating is something very filling (a steak, for example)? In that case the host might offer them something else lighter and less filling, like soup. But even that is strange (why was the soup not already there as part of the meal?)

The response in line five makes sense in response to line four. The person said that he/ was "full", so offering a lighter food such as soup is logical. By the way, there should be a comma before the word, though.
