In Spain, "Cake" can be said in Spanish as the following meanings , which I have learned on Spanish recipes.
- "Bizcocho" : is definitely for a sponge cake in English, a kind of sweet dessert.
- "Torta" : is something like "torte" or "pie" in English, like several kind of salty pies, or pies with topping nuts.
- "Tarta" : is more like a cake in English, is like a birthday cake.
Hope I do help you a little bits. Continue learning!!!
